Customer Reviews
It does not get better then this.Amazing. This is a great buy just for the ease of looking over my pictures without having to look at them with the tiny LCD screen on the back of the camera or having to download everything on the computer first. Most of all, this is ideal for when we have friends and family over. I have had many comments about my frame.
Simply insert your memory card into the slot, turn on the display and sit back and enjoy your pictures. The screen is bright and colorful. I like that you can not only look at your images, but you can also watch videos and listen to music. I like putting music to my videos or images.
Pros
- Nice way to show off pictures
- Accepts multiple memory cards
- Can put slideshow to sound
- Internal memory, so you do not need to tie up your memory card
Cons
- No issues so far =]
I own the 8" model but they also make a 7".
Opteka 7" Digital Picture Frame with 128mb Built-In Memory - Plays MP3 and Video
Opteka 8" Digital Picture Frame is awesome
I purchased this for my husband. He loaded many photos onto the memory card and felt it was easy to load the pictures; Just like loading any other memory card. It performs well and has great picture quality. It is so wonderful watching long-ago taken photos on the digital frame using the slide show feature. I will definitely buy this frame again. I plan on buying another one for Christmas.
Not a bad little photo displayer
I purchased this as a gift for my mother who has no knowledge of computers or electronic gizmos and wishes to have family photos which today are mostly digital.
After a great deal of research checking out all reviews I could find, I decided to go with this unit rather than the others offered so far.
The unit itself is not bad at all. Picture quality to me was fine and the ability to watch camera movie clips with sound was a major plus.
The biggest problem I found was in the user manual. To me the manual is very vague...........especially for someone who has absolutely no knowledge of electronics with menus and settings. It took me quite awhile to figure out just how everything worked and I'm not exactly a novice working with electronics on a day to day basis. In order for my mother to appreciate this gift and not stick it in a drawer or closet, I had to create my own user manual so she could use it when received.
The other issue I have is the fact the box shows various frames you can switch out on this but finding them is another thing. So far I've only been able to locate the base unit in black.
Customer Service? I can't say as I haven't tried; but, go to their site and you cannot find much to help unless you write them.
If not worried about additional frames or not opposed to spending unnecessary time trying to figure things out with the controls and menus, the picture viewer in itself is not a bad little unit. I'm sure my mother will be pleased (hoping she can figure out and follow MY operating instructions).
